12th Week

Small in Size, Extraordinary in Progress

Welcome To Week 12!

You are in the final week of your first trimester, and early discomforts are almost completely returning to normal. Your body works overtime expanding your uterus, which can cause skin stretch marks and an itching sensation.

  • Your baby measures about 5.4cm from head to rump and weighs roughly 14 grams.
  • The baby’s face has a very human appearance, with earlobes in their proper positions.
  • The baby can flex fingers, curl toes, squint, and respond to abdominal strokes.
  • Internally, the kidneys filter urine, nerve cells divide rapidly, and intestines move into the abdomen.
  • Baby is about the size of a lime.
