28th Week

Little Blinks, Grand Entrances

Welcome To Week 28!

You are entering the third trimester of your pregnancy. Your body works overtime as the heavily expanding uterus exerts significant pressure on your diaphragm, commonly triggering shortness of breath, lingering back pain, or sleeping challenges.

  • Your baby weighs approximately 1,005 grams and measures about 37.5cm from head to toe.
  • The baby has started blinking, and their improving vision can perceive light filtering through the abdomen.
  • Billions of neurons are forming in the brain, and the lungs are developed enough to potentially breathe air.
  • Body fat is accumulating rapidly, and the baby maintains a regular sleeping, waking, and hiccupping schedule.
  • Baby is about the size of an eggplant.
